For our client, an international acting finance company, located in Frankfurt/Main (Germany), we are currently looking for a Project and Portfolio Management Expert (f/m/d)

Location: Frankfurt/Main (Germany)

Unlimited contract/permanent position

In your role as Project and Portfolio Management Expert, you will be part of a resourceful and energetic team that is responsible for strengthening the project delivery culture and framework and for advising and coaching management and project managers in the methods, practices and techniques required for project success and recovery.

Tasks:

* design and develop services, methodologies, curriculums and best practices in the areas of demand management, project management and portfolio management for IT and non-IT projects;

* engage effectively with business sponsors, customers and management to lead change through initiatives balancing quality, time and resources to maximise business value for the Division’s counterparts; * develop the companies project management framework

* project and portfolio management software solution, including training and coaching, the project management portal and a community of practice

* advise managers in the definition of work programmes and portfolio planning, thereby helping to improve portfolio management and increase the value of project and service delivery across service areas (administration, human resources, information systems and finance)

* further enhance companies project culture and consistently apply project management standards, framework and tools, as well as the promotion of knowledge-sharing and management.

Skills:

* a master’s degree or equivalent in business administration, information technology, finance, computer science or another relevant field

* at least five years’ experience in project and portfolio management, business analysis, including advising, consulting and managing projects in accordance with accepted project management standards with rigour and quality;

* a good understanding of business change and the challenges of leading projects using project management tools and techniques, such as developing a project/milestone plan, dependency identification, status reporting and issue resolution;

* a track record in establishing services for internal and/or external clients that contribute to achieving business outcomes, such as organisational change, IT applications, PMO services, governance frameworks or enterprise facilities;

* hands-on experience and sound knowledge of project management methodologies (preferably PM2, PMBOK or PRINCE2) and agile development frameworks (e.g. Scrum);
