For our client, a well-known online marketplace for the travel industry, we are looking for a Public Policy Associate (f/m/d) in Berlin.

Your tasks:

  • Advise company's teams on public policy matters to guide development of compliance products and content.
  • Manage the operational implementation of national and local policy proposals and legislative measures, working with colleagues in our legal and California-based product teams;
  • Demonstrates strong ownership and a keen ability to assess risk, enabling effective prioritization of product launches across the markets
  • Project-manage compliance programmes in DACH & CEE in close collaboration with internal teams, particularly with a second Public Policy Associate in the team.
  • Act as company's representative in meetings with government and political stakeholders, in coalitions and collaborations to advance and communicate company's advocacy and compliance initiatives.
  • Support the management of the consultants who provide on-the-ground support, ensuring that they are properly briefed and engaging energetically on behalf of the company in line with the agreed strategy;

Your profile:

  • At least five years of project-management experience working with political, regulatory or compliance issues in a relevant business or non-governmental organization, or in a political, governmental or regulatory context. Ideally, this experience has been built in travel, urbanism or technology.
  • Proven ability to establish networks with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders;
  • Experience of managing regulatory or compliance projects with multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and able to stay on top of multiple projects simultaneously;
  • An eye for detail - with an ability to very quickly get up to speed on complex technical and regulatory issues;
  • Excellent communicator with great interpersonal, writing and presentation skills; First-rate personal, political, analytical and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team player in a multi-task work environment while producing the highest calibre work product in a timely manner;
  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast moving and sometimes stressful environment;

For this role the working contract is done through our agency and is fixed on 11 months with option to be extended or take-over.
