For our client, a leading global technology company, we are looking for a RF Lab Technician (f/m/d) in Munich.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with test engineers, team leads, and international colleagues to support day-to-day lab operations.
  • Support and maintain test setup infrastructure for test campaigns and regression testing.
  • Perform and document ESD measurements in the laboratory using dedicated ESD test equipment and initiate corrective actions where compliance gaps are identified.
  • Prepare boards and hardware for testing and ensure test setups are ready for use.
  • Manage the secure storage and distribution of hardware, including maintaining accurate assignment records for test engineers.
  • Carry out mechanical modifications and installations of laboratory racks and test systems.
  • Install measurement equipment, switches, passive filters, and associated DC, data, and RF cabling.
  • Plan, install, and arrange new or enhanced regression test setups in the laboratory.
  • Perform functional validation, troubleshooting, and calibration of test setups.
  • Coordinate the calibration, repair, and upgrade of laboratory equipment, including hardware and firmware updates.
  • Manage annual calibration activities, including preparing devices for on-site calibration or shipment to external service providers.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure smooth and timely calibration services, including capacity planning, scheduling, and quality follow-up.
  • Ensure the appropriate DGUV testing of measurement equipment returning to the lab after shipment, while taking relevant EHS requirements into account.
  • Coordinate replacement of essential and business-critical equipment during repair or calibration periods.
  • Maintain laboratory inventory and ensure availability and quality of required materials.
  • Manage lab consumables, including ordering and logistics planning.
  • Verify the RF performance of relevant materials, such as dismantled RF coaxial cables, using a network analyzer.
  • Support the restructuring and organization of component and hardware storage within the laboratory.
  • Support the scrapping and disposal process for end-of-life devices.
  • Maintain and regularly update laboratory databases and inventory records.
  • Support measurement-device inventory control and reconciliation with SAP documentation for fiscal audits.
  • Ensure high data quality for CAPEX equipment by maintaining information such as device location, calibration status, hardware/software options, and business-criticality indicators.

Skills:

  • Completed technical education or vocational training in electronics, electrical engineering, communications engineering, or a comparable field.
  • Practical experience working with electronic equipment and laboratory/test environments.
  • Experience with test setups, measurement equipment, cabling, and hardware installation.
  • Basic knowledge of RF technology and RF measurement equipment is an advantage.
  • Experience with ESD measurements and laboratory ESD requirements is a plus.
  • Good mechanical skills and a hands-on approach to installing and modifying test infrastructure.
  • Experience coordinating equipment calibration, repairs, or external service providers is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with inventory management, databases, and/or SAP is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineers and international teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when maintaining technical documentation and inventory data.
  • Good English communication skills; German is a plus.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented, and hands-on working style.

For this role the working contract is done through our agency and is fixed on 1 year with option to be extended/take over.
