For our client, a famous company in the semiconductor sector, we are looking for a Electronics Qualification Technician (m/f/d) (m/f/d) - PCB in Böblingen.
Your tasks:
- Support the qualification and validation of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies for Advantest's V93000 semiconductor test systems.
- Set up, operate, and maintain test benches and qualification equipment for hardware verification activities.
- Execute predefined electrical, functional, and environmental qualification tests according to engineering test plans.
- Perform assembly, disassembly, modification, inspection, and rework of electronic assemblies and hardware platforms.
- Support prototype builds, qualification samples, and engineering investigations.
- Operate existing Advantest test systems and automated test environments to execute qualification and validation programs.
- Document test results, create reports, and maintain qualification records in engineering databases and JIRA.
- Support failure analysis activities by conducting measurements, collecting test data, and reproducing reported issues.
- Assist engineers in tracking qualification progress and preparing qualification reviews and release documentation.
- Coordinate hardware shipments, qualification samples, and test material required for qualification activities.
- Communicate with contract manufacturers and suppliers regarding sample availability, test status, qualification progress, and material readiness.
- Support continuous improvement of qualification procedures, test setups, and laboratory processes.
- Work closely with NPI, Hardware Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and external suppliers in an international environment.
Qualifications:
- Completed technical education as Electronics Technician, Electrical Engineering Technician, Mechatronics Technician, or a comparable qualification.
- Experience in testing, qualification, assembly, or troubleshooting of electronic hardware and printed circuit assemblies.
- Hands-on experience with assembly, disassembly, repair, modification, and handling of complex electronic products.
- Experience executing structured test procedures and documenting test results.
- Basic understanding of PCB technologies, electronic components, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience using JIRA as an end user for task tracking, issue documentation, and status reporting.
- Strong practical and analytical troubleshooting skills.
- Structured, detail-oriented, and reliable working style.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineering teams, manufacturing partners, and suppliers.
- Experience coordinating with suppliers regarding qualification status, sample availability, and material readiness is an advantage.
- Good German and English communication skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 10%).
