For our client, a world leader in the supply of plain bearings for the automotive, marine, rail, industrial engine, and machinery sectors, we are looking for a Assistant Material Planner (m/w/d) in Stuttgart.

Position Overview:

As an Assistant Material Planner, you will play a vital role in coordinating logistics, planning, and customer service activities. You will help ensure optimal delivery performance, inventory control, and strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with: Customers regarding order entry, planning, logistics, and special requirements, Internal departments; external logistics service providers and warehouses
  • Monitor and control deliveries to European customers while maintaining appropriate stock levels
  • Liaise and negotiate with customers and suppliers to ensure efficient order handling
  • Receive and manage customer orders in the system
  • Plan cost-effective delivery routes and ensure high on-time delivery performance
  • Maintain accurate data and master information in the ERP system
  • Provide customer service support, including complaint handling
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards (e.g. IATF and customer-specific requirements)
  • Provide administrative support within the Materials, Planning, and Logistics team
  • Participate in internal and external meetings
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of customer service processes
  • Perform other relevant tasks and projects as assigned by the line manager

Your Profile:

  • Experience in an international customer service/logistics function, including import coordination into the EU
  • Background in material planning and stock management
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changes
  • Fluent English skills (spoken and written); at least basic proficiency in German
  • Experience communicating with customers and providing accurate, helpful support
  • Strong team player with a flexible, collaborative mindset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experience with ERP systems

Desirable (Not Mandatory):

  • Experience working in international trade or multicultural teams
  • Background in the automotive sector
