Service Engineer (f/m/d)

Our client is a global manufacturer of fastening solutions and precision components for industrial applications. The company serves sectors such as electronics, automotive, and aerospace, offering engineered products designed for efficient integration into high-performance manufacturing processes.

Type of contract: unlimited permanent position direct with our client

Your key tasks:

  • Provide on-site service support at customer locations across Europe to assess and resolve reported issues.
  • Fulfil existing maintenance service contracts at customer sites in the Netherlands and Germany, in accordance with contractual agreements, using the Field Service App to complete required checks. Travel a minimum of two days per week (excluding annual leave), with longer trips as needed for customer visits or exhibitions.
  • Perform machine installations and commissioning at customer locations.
  • Promote and sell new maintenance contracts to customers who do not yet have one, during service visits.
  • Resolve customer issues via phone or email as they are logged in the system.
  • Record all customer support requests in Salesforce.
  • Conduct customer demonstrations on machine operation, functionality, and product benefits, in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Deliver distributor service training at the Headquarter in Ireland when required; attend the headquarter for at least one week per quarter for training and upskilling.
  • Support colleagues and distributors at exhibitions, including setup and machine demonstrations. Attend all required European trade shows.

Your Profile:

  • A certificate or diploma in an engineering or electrical discipline is an advantage, or a willingness to work towards such qualification.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • High degree of accuracy, conscientiousness, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to ensure efficient completion of work.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly spreadsheets and databases; ability to prepare and deliver presentations (e.g., MS PowerPoint) is also required.
  • High level of flexibility to meet customer and business needs; travel will be required for this position.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
